Andrew Ijegbia, a former Edo commissioner for mining, clinched the APC ticket after polling 3,695 votes to defeat Ihonvbere and other contenders.
Announcing the results, Muhammed said: “The scores are as follows, Honorable Andrew Ijegbia scored 3,695 votes. Honorable Abdul Oroh scored 1,740 votes while Professor Julius Ihonvbere scored 1,005 votes.”
Other aspirants in the race included Folly, who secured 505 votes, and Barrister Scot, who polled 642 votes. The total votes cast stood at 7,587.
